Welcome to the Home Page of Town and Regional Planning Department Sabah

The key purpose of the web site is to give informations to visitors about our roles and activities which are aimed at improving the quality of planning in Sabah. At present the site is mostly descriptive but it is our intention in the near future to make it an important place for checking on the latest planning news in Sabah. This will include:

	Providing District-wide scalable maps which show land use zonings for each individual lot;
	Allowing developers, consultants and others seeking [planning permission] to check the progress of their planning applications;
	Allowing the public to view the locations and types of applications being made; and
	Providing details of the latest planning initiatives.

We strongly believe that, such information should be as widely available as possible therefore we shall also be setting up a reception area in the department to provide similar information as shown on the website. In due course, we expect that more planning related activities will be processed and displayed on the website.

I would like to congratulate my staff for their efforts in setting up this website and also to Danida (Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs) for their assistance in providing specialist local web designers and other support for this initiative.
