INTRODUCTION

Reserach & Corporate Section is responsible for matters related to human resource and developing planning support systems for the Department.

 

HUMAN RESOUORCE DEVELOPMENT UNIT

Main Functions

To ensure that staffs contributes to the Department in achieving the stated Vision, following are the terms set by the unit:

  1. Every staff should attend a cumulative of seven (7) days of work related training annually.
  2. Providing annual funding equal to that of minimum 1% of the funding for emoluments for the purpose of staff training.
  3. Every staff is given training and retraining as an exposure to the rapid changes in knowledge and technological change.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Arrange training/courses programmes for employees includingv those from the Local Authorities.
  2. Arrange training programmes for student on industrial training or internship.

 

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT UNIT

Main Function

Collect, register and analyse information in preparation of Structure Plan, Planning Schemes or other specialised plans.
