TOWN AND REGIONAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT OF SABAH
Town & Regional Planning Department of Sabah consists of 7 Sections as outlined below:
Responsible for ensuring the optimum operation of the department covering fiscal and inventories management, staff welfare and record keeping.
Responsible for matters related to human resource and developing planning support systems.
Advises each Local Authority in Sabah in land use management by drafting Structure Plan and Planning Schemes.
Reviews any development plan submitted to Local Authorities and ensuring all developments adhere to Planning Schemes and related standards and guidelines.
Advises Local Authorities in planning, managing and development of open spaces and landscaping as part of development.
Responsible for handling matters relating to the State Planning Council such as assisting the State Government in drafting and implementation of town and country planning related policies.
